Are your classes for women only?
The weekly yoga classes are for women only. However, there is an Active Birth Partnersí Workshop once a month if your birth partner would like to find out how he/she can support you through to the birth of your baby.
What should I wear?
Wear loose comfortable clothes, e.g. leggings and a t-shirt. We practise yoga bare footed.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, we will provide yoga mats and cushions
Will there be any time for getting to know other mums-to-be?
Yes, this is an important part of the class - there is time at the end of each session to share fruit tea, biscuits and fruit, while having a good chat and asking any questions you might wish to ask.
Do I need to have any previous experience of yoga?
No, we teach pregnancy yoga in a very simple, easy to understand way, while demonstrating the different yoga poses. The exercises are safe and suitable for any women from 14 weeks to the birth of your baby.
How big are the classes?
I have a small yoga room in my home, which makes the classes uniquely cosy and intimate. For this reason, class size is kept purposefully small with a maximum of 12 women in any one class.
Where are the classes held?
The classes are at 12 Wake Green Road, Moseley, Birmingham. B13 9EZ. You will need to ring the bottom bell when you arrive, which says Eau Baby!
Where can I park?
There is a large car-park next door at 8A Wake Green Rd that you can use for the evening classes. For the daytime classes, you can park on our driveway, or across the road on Anderton Park Road.
Are there any bus stops nearby?
The No. 1 stops almost outside 12 Wake Green Rd
The No. 50 and No. 35 stop in Moseley village which is less than 5 minutes walk away.
When is the best time to start pregnancy yoga classes??
The pregnancy yoga classes are run on a constant rolling basis. You can start anytime after 14 weeks, and can continue until your baby is born. The classes are most beneficial if you come every week over a period of months. However, even if you can only come to a few weeks at the end of your pregnancy, you will still get some benefit from the classes.
Can I pay for the classes week-by-week?
You need to pay for a month at a time. As the class size is limited, and there is usually a waiting list to join, you need to pay to keep your space in the class whether you come every week or not. This is partly so there are no empty spaces that others would like to take, but also acts as an added incentive for you to come every week.
I will issue a refund if you have paid for any classes which fall after your baby has been born.
Can I swap to a different class?
If you cannot come to a particular class and can let me know beforehand, I will always try to accommodate you in another class if possible.
If you would like to swap to another class on a permanent basis, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can reserve your space in both classes. E.g If you would like to change to the daytime class when you start your Maternity Leave, or if your NCT classes fall on the same night as your pregnancy yoga classes.
